Before you fill out the form below to begin your custom commissioned painting,

here are  a few more things you should know.

Pricing - What should you expect?

Painting prices are based on size and complexity.

You will know the cost of your painting as soon as I know what size, what medium, study your reference photo(s) for a day or two and have at least one conversation about what your looking for.

To give you a starting price to consider a 9 x 12" Landscape would start at $95, a 9 x 12" Portrait would start at $195. Thinking bigger? An 18 x 24" Landscape would start at $295, and a 18 x 24" Portrait would start at $495 with a single subject.

 

Paying for your commissioned painting.

50% down is required to start the planing process - this is non refundable.

This is after I have seen the photos, know what size and medium.

We will talk a bit more, and I will buy materials needed.

Another 25% is due when I have started the painting and give you an update on it's progress.

The final 25% is due when you have seen your completed painting and now love it!

Of course, if for some reason you do not even like it and do not want the painting

(although this has never happened)

you do not have to pay the final 25%

How do you get your painting?

If you are lucky enough to be local, your welcome to come pick it up. Your even welcome to come see it during its process if you would like.

If your not local, Shipping charges will occur with your final 25%

How long does the process take?

The total process will take several weeks. This can even take a couple months for oil portraits. So if it is Sept, and you want a portrait under the Christmas tree, starting filling out the form as fast a possible. If it is November? Well, ask anyway, the worst I could say is "Not by Christmas, but your on my list"

Is your photo able to be used as a reference?

Did you take the photo?

Then that's a yes! As long as it has good details for the subject.

Did you copy it off the internet?

Then maybe. Some sites are listed as free photos for references.

Other sites you have to pay for the rights to use them.

Did you have your family member photographed by a professional?

The photographer usually retains the rights to photos being reproduced or copied. If they look professional I will ask for verification you own the rights.

 

Who owns the copyrights and reproduction rights when your painting is completed?

As the Artist, I reserve all copyrights and reproduction rights of the painted version of your request.

If you would like to own the rights, just double the cost of your painting and it is all yours.

Can my portrait be of a celebrity?

Yes! - so long as you have rights to use the reference photo you would like me to paint from, I will use it.
